New Cities Summit 2025

The New Cities Summit 2025 was held in Nairobi, Kenya at the Emara Hotel Nairobi, with a brand concept inspired by Nairobi, the Green City in the Sun. The visual identity celebrated the city’s energy and optimism, with the stage design featuring Nairobi’s skyline set against a rising sun as the central motif.

We worked collaboratively with the client to develop a brand experience that resonated deeply with Kenyan culture and place. This was expressed through thoughtfully curated giveaways incorporating local khanga and kikoy fabrics, as well as locally made products such as Maasai shukas, Kenyan tea, and handcrafted items sourced from Kenyan makers.

The skyline motif was carried through key branding elements, including a statement entrance arch featuring Nairobi’s skyline, wayfinding signage, registration stations, and space branding inspired by African city names. These elements helped anchor the event within its geographic and cultural context while supporting clear navigation and flow.

A thematic dinner further reinforced the concept, drawing inspiration from distinctive Kenyan accessories and textures to create a warm and immersive closing experience. The result was a cohesive and culturally grounded branding system that celebrated Nairobi as a dynamic, green city in the sun while delivering a memorable delegate experience.
